Deep furrows on the forehead, frown lines over the eyes, drooping eyebrows, and hoodlike skin over the eyes are all conditions that can make you look older than you are or feel. Whether age or hereditary causes these conditions, a brow lift (or forehead lift) can give you a more youthful, animated and alert appearance. Brow lifts are usually performed under general anesthesia as an outpatient. Dr. Leigh utilizes the most appropriate technique to achieve the goals of a functional brow and eyelid combination with a rested and awake appearance. These may include use of the surgical endoscope, or alternative incisions, based on the patient's hairline, forehead height, and surgical goals. Brow lifts may be performed alone or along with other procedures such as facelift or eyelid surgery. Most patients are back to work within 1-2 weeks, however strenuous exertion should be avoided for 3-4 weeks.
